One day, one volunteer

My Express Bio: Before becoming a volunteer at The Lumière Film Festival in 2015, Muriel Deloche had several lives. A receptionist at Club Med, she met the famous Ariane from ‘Club Dorothée’ who convinced her to move to Paris. She then discovered the behind-the-scenes life of television and regularly played small roles in sitcoms such as ‘2be3’ or ‘Pour être libre’.  After a period in San Diego, Muriel returned to Lyon, her hometown, and became a volunteer with the NGO ‘Handicap International’ and the association ‘Courir pour elles’.

My favourite filmmakers: Clint Eastwood, whom I love both as a filmmaker and an actor. I really like the films of James Cameron, Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino.

My favourite actors: Clint Eastwood of course, he's a great actor. I also love Roschdy Zem, whom I had the chance to see act because I was Dominique Blanc's understudy in Roch Stéphanik's film ‘Stand-by’. And I am a fan of Jane Fonda - what an actress and what a woman!

My favourite film: Sydney Pollack's ’Out of Africa’, for everything: the cast, the landscapes. And I also love ‘Dirty Dancing’, it's a cult classic that I've seen it over and over again!

My interest in volunteering: I love meeting people: the public, other volunteers and film professionals.

My tasks at the festival: I help welcome the public to the Hangar of the Institut Lumière, the Pathé Bellecour movie theatre and the Auditorium of Lyon.
