My brief bio: Touatia Mechta, who now calls Villeurbanne home, has been a caregiver for two years and is a volunteer with the Fondation Abbé Pierre and the associations France Humanitaire and Le Chaînon manquant. She has made altruism an art of living. It was therefore perfectly logical that this big-hearted Clint Eastwood fan should join the team of volunteers at the Lumière Film Festival. It’s her first festival both as a volunteer and a festivalgoer.

My favourite filmmakers: Claude Lelouch - his films tell the story of life, they are simple, everyday stories, and are touching. I also love Clint Eastwood, both as a director and an actor, he's a legend!

My favourite actors: Louis de Funès, I love him in all his movies! My favourite is ‘Delusions of  Grandeur’ with Yves Montand, what an acting duo! I also admire Simone Signoret and Anna Karina.

My favourite movie: ‘The Green Mile’ by Frank Darabont. This very moving story had an impact on me.

My interest in volunteering: I love helping people, so when I was asked to volunteer at the Lumière Film Festival, I immediately said yes! It's an opportunity I didn't want to miss! I love being in contact with the public and giving information to festivalgoers.

My tasks at the festival: I help welcome festivalgoers to the Pathé Bellecour theatre, the Village, the photo gallery and the restaurant. I also help with the distribution of the Lumière daily journal at the Cinema Opéra.
