Photographs by Vincent Delerm
From 7 October to 11 December 2022
In 2021, disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Cannes Film Festival was postponed to July and the festivalgoers coexisted with the tourists. For three days, Vincent Delerm immortalized this 74th edition. Going back and forth between the behind the scenes of the Festival and the life of Cannes in the summertime, he juggled between the red carpet and the seaside. Exhibited for the first time, these photographs reveal two facets of the same city, two ways of life, from “L’année où le Festival de Cannes a eu lieu en juillet”. The book resulting from this exhibition, published by Polka, will be available for purchase at the gallery.
