Invitation to Marlène Jobert

After debuting with Jean-Luc Godard (Masculin Féminin), she became one of the most popular stars of the 1970s, as comfortable in comedies by Michel Audiard or Philippe de Broca as with Claude Chabrol and Maurice Pialat (We Won’t Grow Old Together). Her vivacious beauty (with her freckles!) and her tenacity juxtaposed with her apparent fragility have made Jobert an endearing heroine.
