Every year, 5,000 moviegoers arrive in Lyon from all over France to take part in the big all-nighter of the Lumière Film Festival at the Halle Tony Garnier. The idea: an entire night of cinema, including entertainment.
Beetlejuiceby Tim Burton Whatever happens, avoid saying his name three times… or do so at your own risk... A satirical and cult classic, the birth of one of the funniest characters in contemporary cinema, brilliantly played by Michael Keaton: Beetlejuice, a punk and non-conformist ghost, who befriends a young goth teenager, incarnated by Winona Ryder. “Completely bizarre, but perfectly realized.” The Washington Post |

Ed Woodby Tim Burton Life itself is the artistic achievement of Ed Wood, the despised and misunderstood filmmaker of the 1950s, who over time became a creator recognized and revered throughout the world. A declaration of love to cinema, to creation, to the monster, to kitsch and to the bizarre, this epic tale brings B-movies and the great history of Hollywood together. Undoubtedly one of Johnny Depp's greatest roles. “Burton’s most personal and provocative movie to date.” Rolling Stone |

Mars Attacks!by Tim Burton Excitement abounds on planet Earth, where the little green men have finally decided to pay us a visit. A hilarious satirical comedy headlined by some of America’s finest actors in deliciously off-the-wall roles... Somewhere between a farce and a masterpiece, with an implicit nod to the science fiction of the 1950s and the American attraction to encounters of the third kind. “Strange and elaborate, the ultra-cult sci-fi comedy.” Variety |

Sleepy Hollowby Tim Burton In 1799, in a small New England town, several bodies are found decapitated… Ichabod Crane, a New York policeman, comes to investigate. A witch, a ghost and a headless horseman feature in this gothic tale, one of the most sumptuous films of the end of the century, carried by the sheer beauty of the pairing of Christina Ricci and Johnny Depp. A marvel of aestheticism and poetry to end the night in splendour. “The rich imagination and secret tenderness of Mr. Burton’s best films. Grimly voluptuous.” The New York Times |
