Invitation to Lee Chang-dong

A committed writer, Lee Chang-dong stepped behind the camera in 1997 with Green Fish and revealed his singular cinematographic poetry. He confirmed his talents in 1999 with Peppermint Candy, then in 2002 with Oasis, which won a prize at the Venice Film Festival. Poetry and Burning represent significant moments of delicacy in competition at the Cannes Film Festival. To be discovered: three of his works in restored prints never seen before, presented by Diaphana, and the first-ever screening in France of his latest short film, Heartbeat.
